En Vero is currently working with our local partners and the City Mayor’s Office to implement the first “Call Center for Human Rights and Legal Process” in the City of Santa Marta (Colombia). The call center is a one-of-a-kind initiative aiming at empowering local citizens and offer them free legal advice. The project aims at preventing potential abuses of power by the local enforcement authorities and promote a culture of legality among these and the citizenry. In phase 2 of the project, we will expand the « “Call Center for Human Rights and Legal Process” to the entire province of Magdalena and other majors cities in the Colombian Republic (Bogota, Barranquilla, Cali, Medellín) in partnership with local authorities and allies.
