EN VERO is urging the judge of the 9th District in the state of Mexico in charge of the legal case #39/2012-3 to speed up the legal proceedings, to grant Diego a parole or – at least – house arrest after 10 years spent in preventive detention without a trial. We are also urging the authorities to give Diego access to proper medication, and requesting the Inter American Commission on Human Rights to intervene. Diego needs medical examination and treatment, the cost of which his mother and EN VERO are currently covering.
