Canadians want to prove that the Mexican Israel Vallarta is innocent
Some years ago, several international organizations—some of them Canadian— denounced what they considered a set-up by the Mexican authorities against a French citizen accused of kidnapping.
Finally, Florence Cassez—the accused—returned to France and the case was almost forgotten.
However, other detainees under the same charge—all of them Mexican citizens—are still in prison and still maintaining that they are innocent.
Several local and international organizations claiming to have evidence that these Mexicans also were falsely accused are defending them.
The Canadian Association for Rights and Truth is conducting a campaign to show that, according to them, Israel Vallarta, the ex-boyfriend of the Frenchwoman Florence Cassez, is innocent, as well as the other members of his family who still remain in jail.
